Pagong x Windwear 3rd Collaboration “Fan and Flowing Water”

-”Fuji Black”

3rd Exclusive Collaboration

The third collaboration between Pagong and Windwear has launched!

This collection beautifully blends elements from both Japanese and Thai cultures. The design takes inspiration from the elegance of the Japanese fan (Uchiwa, 団扇), featuring intricate goldfish patterns symbolizing prosperity and harmony. These are seamlessly combined with Thailand’s Fighting Fish, known for its strength and resilience.

Celebrating Windwear’s 8th anniversary, they will release this special shirt at the SIAM STORE in Thailand this month one jump ahead. Pagong will release this shirt this summer! Stay tuned!

We share the same passion.

-Introducing the three color ways, each having its own cultural essence all with the same passion.

-“Fuji Black”

The Pagong Color way, reflecting Japanese Culture. In the fan we have particularly focused on the color of the water flow “Fuji murasaki”, a vivid bluish purple color. It is a traditional Japanese color that is often associated with nobility, creativity, and spirituality .The word "fuji" means wisteria flowers in Japan. The black background makes the whole pattern have a strong impression.

-“Daeng Marroon”

Thai belief, red is considered an auspicious color that represents heaven it also symbolizes the power of love, desire, passion, and eternity. The rich hue of red-brown can also convey sophistication and tradition. The mix of the warm colors can express Thailand’s friendly and welcoming people.

-“Ocean Blue”

The ocean reminds us that, no matter where on Earth we live, we are all connected by the ocean. The relationship between our two countries, Japan and Thailand began more than 600 years ago. A deep friendship has developed between the people of Japan and Thailand, and there is mutual understanding and respect for each other’s culture. This color way represents the bond of our two countries.

-About-

We are delighted to present a collaboration such as this with Windwear, a very creative new Aloha shirt company located in Thailand. Both Pagong and Windwear are fascinated with the idea of combining cultures, with creative inspiration evolving from a shared sense of peace and tranquility.

Elephants are the national animal of Thailand, depicted facing one another, which symbolizes a sense of mutual respect, strength, loyalty, and longevity. Many Thais hold the belief that walking under an elephant will bring a lifetime of these attributes.

The Thai royal family has worshipped the white elephant since ancient times, a symbol of auspiciousness, power, status, and honor.

Thai orchids represent not only love and passion, they are also a symbol of beauty, strength, and luxury. Thailand has over 1,000 different species of orchids, with white orchids such as depicted on this Aloha shirt representing reverence, humility, innocence, purity, and elegance.
