Pagong X Windwear 3rd Collaboration
-About-
This collaboration beautifully merges two rich cultures—Japan and Thailand—by drawing inspiration from the elegant uchiwa, or Japanese fan, and incorporating meaningful patterns of the Japanese goldfish alongside Thailand’s iconic Betta fish.
The uchiwa (団扇) holds both cultural and functional significance in Japanese daily life. Traditionally gifted during the summer as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity, this fan features graceful brushstroke-style lines that evoke a sense of tradition and refinement.
On the other hand, the Thai fan in this collection mimics the waves of the Andaman Sea, adorned with floral patterns inspired by the southern Thai paté fabric and the bold, tropical torch ginger flower (dahla). This design pays homage to the distinctive cultural heritage of southern Thailand.
The flowing water motif on the shirt symbolizes the harmony and collaboration between the two brands, representing a shared commitment to creating a truly exceptional piece that celebrates craftsmanship, culture, and creativity.
